A CACAO CEREMONY is a sacred experience in which we consume pure, ceremonial-grade cacao as a tool to open the energetic heart, soften defenses, and journey inward. Unlike “drinking chocolate,” ceremonial cacao is prepared and consumed with ritual, intention, and respect — inviting presence, release, insight, and communion (with self, spirit, and community).
WHAT IS CACAO?
Cacao is derived from the seeds of the cacao tree—the plant that chocolate is made from. Cacao was known as “food of the Gods” to the indigenous people of the Americas, who drank it ceremonially and even used it as currency at one point. It is a superfood rich in nutrients that support focus and cognitive function, enhance mood and creativity —as well as pleasure and awareness.
Cacao is ancient heart-medicine — a portal into vulnerability, presence, and connection. In the alchemical space of ceremony, this medicine invites us to soften, to open, and to remember. My cacao gatherings are held with intention, reverence, and the energetic container necessary for deep healing.
Within the container of ceremony, we may use breath, movement, sound, meditation, relational practices, and ritual elements (smudging, intention setting, sharing circles) to deepen the experience. The medicine of cacao acts as a guide and companion on the journey.
Ceremonies are offered for groups, creating a shared space of healing and connection, or one-on-one, tailored for individual support and deeper personal transformation.
